Brief Description
The Referral module provides instructions for creating referrals for Children's Administration programs.
A DCFS referral must be created whenever information about allegations of child abuse or neglect (CPS) is received by an Children's Administration employee by phone, mail, FAX or in person. The Children's Administration employee is charged with assuring that the referral information is documented in the CAMIS system within 3 days of the receipt of referral. This may be done by direct input into CAMIS by the employee or by contacting a DCFS Intake Worker to make the report.
Other referrals or requests for Non-CPS services are also recorded using the procedures outlined in this section of the manual.
To return to the top, click your cursor anywhere on this page and press the Home key on your keyboard.
